Take Control of your Mental Health

What is counselling/therapy, and why should I choose it?

A cozy scene with a person sitting on a brown armchair, wrapped in a pink quilted blanket. A white coffee mug rests on the arm of the chair, and an open book with a black bookmark is in the person's lap.

Counselling gives you the opportunity to explore your problems in a safe, caring, and non-judgemental space. It can be especially helpful if you are going through a difficult time or feeling confused about what to do. Whether you're worried about the future or ashamed about something in the past. It can offer a space for you to talk about your week, or to explore the underlying causes of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, to work towards your goals and find solutions, or to develop coping strategies and techniques to make things just that little bit more manageable.

Lyon Counselling uses a person-centred foundation, which is a psychotherapeutic approach where you decide what you want to talk about in each session, and we go at your own pace. You won’t be told what to do or how to feel. Instead, you will be empowered to make your own decisions based on what you feel is best for you.

Therapy can help with:

Anxiety
Depression
Low self-esteem
Stress
Trauma
Grief, loss, and bereavement
Addiction
Relationship issues
And more…

Consultation Session FREE

It is important that you get a feel for the therapy before making a commitment to it, so I offer a free consultation session, lasting 30-60 minutes, which will give you the chance to ask questions, tell me a bit more about what brings you to therapy, and decide if this kind of therapy is right for you.

Feedback from Clients

Zak is extremely supportive and I feel he genuinely cares so much about the people he offers therapy to.

I am very privileged to had the chance of having counselling session with Zak Lyon.

He is very professional dedicated compassionate and he goes the extra mile for his clients.

I would recommend him to anyone that needs therapy and counselling and I also myself have recommended him to few of my friends.

Zak helped me to navigate through some issues, validated my feelings and gave me space to talk openly and process what I was going through. I felt at ease talking to him and really benefitted from our sessions. Thank you!

Zak is a very empathetic and skilled therapist. He has nurtured me on my journey to find solutions to my problems. A caring and well trained soul I couldn't recommend him enough. I needed understanding and he absolutely gives that.
